Overview

The Bahá'í Faith, founded by Bahá'u'lláh in 19th century Persia, has approximately 8 million followers worldwide. It teaches the essential unity of all religions and the oneness of humanity.

Central principles include the elimination of prejudice, equality of men and women, universal education, harmony of science and religion, and the establishment of world peace. Bahá'ís believe that God has progressively revealed truth through messengers including Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, and Bahá'u'lláh.

The Bahá'í Faith emphasizes service to humanity, consultation in decision-making, and the spiritual development of both individuals and society.
